Morning Has Broken 破曉時分

“Morning Has Broken” 原是一首基督教讚美詩，於 1931 年首​​次出版。它由英國作家 Eleanor Farjeon 創作，靈感來自東薩塞克斯郡的 Alfriston 村，然後用以傳統的蘇格蘭蓋爾語曲調“Bunessan”。它經常在兒童服務和葬禮服務中演唱。

英國流行音樂家和民謠歌手 Cat Stevens 在他的專輯 Teaser and the Firecat (1971) 中加入了一個版本。由於這張唱片的流行，這首歌令史蒂文斯被認同。在美國公告牌百強單曲榜上排名第 6，在 1972 年美國易聽排行榜上排名第一。

有一次，Cat Stevens在書店裡看到一本有關於讚美詩的書。這是一本兒童讚美詩，由英國新體詩女詩Eleanor Farjeon（1881～1965）所編撰。他的目光偶然落在其中的一首（也是最受歡迎的一首）：Morning Has Broken上，這使當時正處於靈感枯竭期的他興奮無比，他發現其中的詩句及觀念真的很棒，就當即決定為之鋪上和旋，使之成為自己的歌。
